Export Documentation Specialist

Job description

Stone Arch works with grain processors, elevators, and farmers throughout the U.S. and Canada to consistently supply international markets with reliable agriculture products. Specializing in containerized cargo, our experienced team manages all aspects of the supply chain from product origination, truck, rail, and vessel logistics, to all necessary documentation requirements to optimize the efficiencies that intermodal container transportation provides.

Stone Arch Commodities is growing and looking to add an Export Documentation Specialist. The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for collecting and assembling all export documentation, invoicing and tracking of export shipments.

Responsibilities:

  • Create export documentation packets for shipments originating in the US, which include Letters of Credit, Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, House & Master Bills of Lading, etc.

  • Providing customers with accurate, timely, and friendly service regarding their shipments

  • Submit AES filings through ACE

  • Timely submittal of Shipping Instructions and VGM

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with ocean/freight export documentation

  • Experience with AES/ACE filings

  • Familiarity with different payment terms (CAFD, DP, & LC's)

  • Ability to effectively manage time and be self-motivated

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work flow and complete tasks with a high level of organization, responsibility, and efficiency

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year

CDL A Driver - Local Hoppers.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Follow and enforce safety policies and procedures at all times

  • Hauling hopper trucks from locations in the region to our facility in Minneapolis.

  • Pick up and drop off of containers from rail and intermodal yards in Minneapolis and St. Paul

  • Maintain work standards to fulfill DOT requirements

  • Work closely with team members to prioritize work flow to meet deadlines

  • Assist with unloading hopper trucks

  • Overtime available within DOT limitations

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • CDL A drivers license and over the road experience

  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check (random ongoing drug tests)

  • Knowledge of basic safety practices and willingness to be trained and adhere to safety policies and procedures for the facility

  • Strong work ethic, consistent attendance

    Physical Requirements

  • Physically able to climb up and down trailers and equipment/ladders safely

  • Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)

  • Good hand/eye coordination

  • Able to walk, bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance throughout the day

  • Good hearing and vision

  • Can carry fifty (50) pounds

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay of $20 per hour for CDL A driver. Negotiable for applicants with more experience.

  • Full-Time employment with 40+ hours, overtime available within DOT limitations

  • Health Insurance 100% paid by employer after first month of employment

  • 401k plan with company match

  • License: CDL A: 2 years (Required)

Diesel Mechanic/ Yard Operator

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors at all times

  • Routine preventative maintenance for trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, and machinery

  • Perform general maintenance on diesel truck tractors, yard tractors, skid steers and machinery, trouble shoot and perform repairs as needed

  • Change tires on semi trucks and trailers

  • CDL A License drivers are preferred, or we can help you obtain your CDL.

  • Maintain DOT compliant maintenance records for all vehicles

  • Work closely with team members to prioritize work flow to meet deadlines

  • Communicate with team members to maintain proper inventories of supplies

  • Ability and interest in being cross trained on all functions at the facility

  • Light duty repair to trailer chassis.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check (random ongoing drug tests)

  • Knowledge of basic safety practices and willing to be trained and adhere to safety policies and procedures for the facility

  • Strong work ethic, enjoys a fast paced work flow, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Experience maintaining and fixing trucks, heavy equipment and machinery

  • Good interpersonal communication skills

  • Physically able to climb up and down transloading equipment/ladders safely

  • Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)

  • Good hand/eye coordination

  • Able to walk, bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance throughout the day

  • Good hearing and vision

  • Can carry fifty (50) pounds

  • Welding and fabrication skills a plus. 

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20/hr for mechanics with 5 years or less experience.  Negotiable for applicants with more experience.
